How To Quickly Create Shortcut To Desktop On Mac

My iMac desktop is very clean with no folders or shortcuts. It is “time-consuming” and more steps to take if I wish to open some folders in the finder. Hence, I decided to make some folder and application shortcuts to the desktop for easier access. This is a very simple tutorial to show you how easy you can make your own shortcuts with iMac Mac OS X. I’ve made a very short video to show you how to create the shortcut to desktop for Mac Applications and Folders. Follow the steps below to check out the tutorial.

  1. Go to Finder.
  2. Go to the Applications folder.
  3. Press Option + Command + Drag the selected application to Desktop.
  4. The shortcut has been made.
  5. Follow the same steps from step 1 to step 4 to create shortcuts for your folders.

Hope you enjoy the video and feel free to drop me a comment.
